In the Beginning

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,and the Word was God.
(from the Gospel of John,chapter 1,verse 1).
The next time members of the cult commonly called the Jehovah's Witness come calling at your door, ask them why their spurious version of the Bible named The New World Translation, changes the wording of John 1:1.The answer, which they won't admit to,is that they deny the doctrine of the Trinity.Imagine the audacity of changing scripture to fit your interpretation of this one verse.
There is something for traditional Christians to learn from John 1:1 and John 1:3.Too many people think there are two God's in the Bible, one is the harsh, punishing one you read of in the Old Testament, the other being the kind fatherly one in the New.Verse 2 and 3 of the first chapter of the Gospel of John says:"He was in the beginning with God.All things were made through Him,and without Him nothing was made that was made." What do these two verses mean? It means Jesus was God the Father's agent involved in creating everything in the universe(read Hebrews 1:2 and Colossians 1:16,17).
May God have mercy on those who change scripture to fit their own desires and agendas.
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."(Hebrews 10:31).
