This Day

" At the falling of another, Be it friend, or be it brother, Never sneer, and ne'er deride, Help the weak and conquer pride. Let no good by thee be marred, Let no duty seem too hard, In all things bravely do your best, And then to God we'll leave the rest. If we sit down at set of sun, And count the things that we have done, And counting find One self-denying act,one-word That eased the heart of him who heard, One glance most kind, That fell like sunshine where it went,Then we may count the day well spent."
(from The Little Treasury of Leaflets).
So beautiful and well said, something all of us should read as each day begins.
