His Example

"In His hidden life at Nazareth we have to learn from our divine Master the great lesson of obedience, the love of obscurity, the love of humility, the love of poverty(the spirit of poverty, detachment from creatures), and the love of labor.
In His public life and in His passion we must also consider Jesus Christ as our model and learn from Him the lessons He inculcates both by word and example, notably, meekness, humility, patience, charity, kindness, forbearance, forgiveness of injuries, love of prayer, zeal for souls,self-restraint,self-denial, and conformity to the will of God."
(from The Imitation of Christ by Thomas Kempis).
The Imitation of Christ is a must read for every Christian.

Dear Brother David,
Today I was searching about "What should be the true focus of a Christian" in the midst of pressures from Church & other organizations which try to use you to create a name for themselves. Also not be too negative. I landed up in your blog. Sure GOD has some people who are uniquely like minded. I saw your statement and felt the same. Your posts truly reflect a true Christian whom GOD will value.

May GOD Bless you.

Many Thanks for the kind words--God will draw those of like mind together--if you are new to the site I would invite you to read the postings that began near the end of February 2008 and were published every day after.
